The scaffolding to the frontage of jmarchitects’ new Market Street Hotel has been dismantled to unveil the facade to the new £20m development.
This is the first glimpse of the new building which infills the key gap site in Edinburgh’s historic city centre and UNESCO World Heritage site. The once derelict site, will soon be home to an eight-storey ‘Design Hotel’, establishing itself as Scotland’s first.
The fabric has evolved through careful analysis of the surrounding buildings and site, developed to be respectful in its context.
The hotel is set to open early next year.
