The site, at 64-66 Station Road is bounded by the ‘Western Gateway’ and ‘Northern Approach’ identified within the Solihull Town Centre Masterplan 2020, giving the site a unique location and opportunity to create a distinctive development that reinforces the gateway into Station Road from the train station.

The scheme will provide significant economic, social, and environmental benefits, with a more efficient use of the existing brownfield site in a highly accessible and sustainable location providing –

  • 50 new private rented homes to encourage new residents to utilise local amenities and public transport, creating a highly sustainable, car-free development.
  • Active frontages to ground floor commercial spaces thus increasing activity and footfall along Station Road, giving a boost to the local economy.
  • A new landmark development of exemplar design quality, to act as a gateway into the heart of the town while protecting Green Belt by increasing housing density in the Town Centre.
  • Acts as a catalyst for further town centre regeneration, increasing market confidence in Solihull
