Public tours at the newly completed GP and Minor Injuries Centre were held last week, ahead of it’s opening on the 13th of August. Amy Porteous & Mark Thompson of jmarchitects attended a preliminary tour of the £37 million Stirling Health and Care Village, arranged by NHS Forth Valley.
From its inception as a masterplan in 2013, the first build phase of Stirling Health and Care village will open its doors in August. The centre, delivered by hub East Central, Robertson Construction and jmarchitects will provide three GP practices, X-ray facilities, Minor Injuries and Out of Hours services, plus a Scottish Ambulance base.
The 116 bed inpatient facility on the site, will be completed later in the year, followed by a new ambulance workshop in Autumn 2019. The masterplan and new accommodations will provide better integrated local health and social care services for the Stirling area.
