We are so pleased to announce Orchard Brae ASN School has been Shortlisted for the RIAS Awards 2019, alongside 18 other prestigious projects from across Scotland.
Orchard Brae School, located in Aberdeen, is a specialist centre of excellence for children and young people aged 3-18 years with additional support needs arising from severe and complex factors. The building provides state of the art education facilities alongside health facilities and ‘wrap-around’ support including facilities for families, partner agencies and support services, including the NHS.
The design concept was driven first and foremost by the quality of the pupil experience and by an awareness that a successful, creative, innovative design solution can optimise the learning and teaching experience for both pupils and teachers alike.
Congratulations to the whole team involved for this esteemed recognition. The winners will be announced at the end of May in Edinburgh and we look forward to hearing the result with anticipation.
