jmarchitects are happy to announce that Newhouse Academy Planning submission has been validated!
Newhouse Academy High School is a 7 Form Entry (FE) secondary school in Heywood, Lancashire. The accommodation is to allow for the relocation of the existing school accommodation within the areas scheduled for demolition, primarily being the sports hall, science rooms and D&T department with additional area to provide also for SEND learning resource areas for inclusivity and new community access adjacent to the existing car park.
The build will be an entirely new build project spanning over three floors, with demolition to the existing school building but retaining the newer ‘Boomerang’ shaped building. The proposal shall introduce a new traditionally constructed school providing all the school’s existing needs found in the area proposed for demolition.
