Julie from our Glasgow studio joins our team of Mental Health First Aiders who are here to offer support and promote positive wellbeing in the workplace.
At jmarchitects, we are striving to improve mental health and break stigma in our workplace, and we are delighted to expand our team of Mental Health First Aiders to offer further support to our colleagues.
Julie joins our jmcare group, spread across our 4 offices who can provide confidential support and guidance to jmarchitects staff with any mental wellbeing difficulties they may be experiencing – whether this is work related or not. Alongside being someone to confidentially talk with, our Mental Health First Aiders promote healthy working practices and run initiatives and events to help break down the stigma surrounding mental health.
“Having experienced mental health challenges myself, I know how important it is to have open and honest conversations about how we are feeling but I also appreciate how difficult opening up can be sometimes. As part of the jmcare group and in my new role as a Mental Health First Aider I hope to contribute to a positive, supportive, and healthy workplace culture where everyone’s mental health is valued.
I found the training sessions with Catherine from MHScot Workplace Wellbeing CIC really insightful and they have given me the skills and confidence to better support my colleagues.”
