jmarchitects decided to celebrate National Photography Day a little early and as architects we decided to sketch out surrounding buildings instead of photographing them. To add a little twist, we challenged those involved to choose a partner and draw a building or a portion of a building of their choice within a specific time. When that time ran out the participants had to swap drawings and the drawing medium to complete their partner’s drawing/sketch. This proved to be an incredibly fun yet challenging activity as we had to cater to a new drawing style and a completely different scale.
“Definitely give this exercise a try, all you need is paper, a pen and a drawing buddy. Enjoy the weather while it lasts and happy portrait day!!”
