As part of Mental Health Awareness Week the jmcare group are sharing some ways that we can help manage anxiety.
Anxiety is something we can all experience from time-to time. The more often and the longer we feel anxious, the more it can become a problem.
There are lots of practical things we can do to manage anxiety, often the simplest things are the easiest forgotten and the most effective!
- Grounding techniques such as focusing on your breathing or practicing mindfulness.
- Talk to someone about how you are feeling.
- Keep a diary or journal.
- Spend time in nature.
- Keep active, get plenty of rest and eat a healthy diet.
If your feelings of anxiety are not going away, are having a negative impact on your life, or often prevent you from doing things you need or want to do, seek support.
