This year we are cheering on three jmarchitects teams taking part in the Women in Property Step into Summer challenge!
‘Slow Patrol’, ‘Walkémon Go’ and ‘Blister Sisters’ are each made up of four women from our Edinburgh and Glasgow studios and they are currently halfway through the challenge of virtually walking 930km from Glasgow to Cardiff, via Edinburgh, Manchester and London in celebration of the forthcoming Commonwealth Games. This week, their steps have been logged in locations across Europe from Largs to Tenerife; even a summer holiday won’t stop them clocking up the kilometres!
This year’s challenge is raising awareness for two fantastic women’s charities: Women in Sport and Smart Works.
Women in Sport empowers more women and girls to be active believing no- one should be excluded from the joy, fulfilment, and lifelong benefits of sport. Their purpose is to give every woman and girl the opportunity to take part in sport and inspire her to do so. More information can be found here:
Smart Works are a UK charity that exists to give women the confidence they need to reach their full potential, secure employment, and chance the trajectory of their lives. They believe in the power of clothes and coaching to transform a woman’s life. More information can be found here:
