The theme for this year’s International Women’s Day (celebrated on 8th March) is “break the bias – image a gender equal world” which is incredibly relevant for the construction industry, where women only account for approximately 13% of the workforce.
We reached out to our jmarchitects team to ask for recommendations of articles, exhibitions, podcasts, lectures, films or books about individuals or organisations who are seen as trailblazing or championing gender equality within the construction industry and beyond and the response was fantastic!
In a series of posts this week we will share these recommendations with our wider network in the hope that they will inspire others, please feel free to share again, tag, or send onto anyone you think these would be of interest to!
