We are honoured to announce that Walker Primary School has received a commendation at the 2021 Brick Award in the Education category.
The DfE funded project is for a new primary school to replace the existing redundant building. The scheme uses an off-site modular solution for the structure, with on-site cladding and fit-out, to minimise the construction time and avoid disruption to the school curriculum. The site is within the Southgate Village Conservation Area and the design uses colour, materials and massing to relate to the adjacent historic buildings and wooded surroundings.
“We are delighted to have received a Commendation at the 2021 Brick Awards for Walker Primary. The project shows that it is possible to achieve a high-quality design that is sensitive to the locality whilst taking advantage of the benefits of off-site construction”
