What is worth more than gold? This library for sure! Our recent site visit has seen the paint of the library ceiling being completed, with the gold paint band emphasizing the details and features the ceiling has.

We also saw the magnificent herringbone parquet flooring getting revived and cannot wait to see how the space will look when all the furniture and bookshelves are installed. We are sure it will look spectacular. The council’s vision for the Bolton Library, Museum, and Aquarium (BLMA) project is enhance one of Bolton’s most popular cultural institutions. The BLMA has been at the centre of civic and cultural life in Bolton for almost ninety years.

This redevelopment will transform and reconfigure the library floor of the building to form an exciting new creative and cultural space. Key objectives is to provide a modern library offering flexible space for community groups, artists, partners by creating spaces which will enhance the operation of the building and reflect the modern use of the libraries.
