The Manchester studio are excited to be eating delicious Caribbean food from Rad’s Takeaway today for lunch. We are supporting and enjoying Rad’s in connection with Black Pound Day, which is on Saturday 3rd of September.
Black Pound Day aims to be the biggest marketplace and directory to spend black in the UK and Europe. ‘We believe that by increasing the visibility of Black businesses and highlighting the importance of spending Black, we can facilitate change around socio-economic inequalities affecting Black communities.’
Black Pound Day encourages consumers to spend with Black businesses on the first Saturday of every month to achieve this vision. We will be celebrating slightly early with Jerk Chicken, Stewed Chicken, Ackee and Salt Fish, Rice & Peas, Plantain and Festival dumplings.
The Manchester studio has enjoyed supporting local food businesses for lunches, CPD’s and meetings, we are looking forward to Rad’s becoming a jmManchester staple.
