Another project completed and ready to open to the public of Bolton and beyond, we cannot wait to see it open and running. Food is art and with this inspiration, jmarchitects designed the new food hall with the same love and passion to optimise the experience of dinning within the thriving Bolton Market environment. Now it is time to unveil the stories behind every ingredient.

Bolton’s main market is located on Ashburner Street, right in the heart of the town centre. The market has a growing reputation as the premier food market in the North West. Operated by Bolton Council the market is open four days a week and provides meat and fish, fruit and vegetables and non-food goods and services. In the first phase of the works, we introduced new permanent covered outdoor market stalls, completed in December 2022.

Phase two of the works involved the demolition of the Old outdoor market stalls to make way for the new purpose built Food Court and the reclad of 22 existing permanent kiosks. The food Hall provides cluster of 9 commercial kitchen spaces to allow Bolton Market to attract the very best variety of eateries to provide the ultimate dinning emporium to cater for the increased demand of the existing food and beverage offering within the existing Market. The new dynamic state of the art addition will help improve and attract a wider demographic of customers and allow users to spill out into the new improved landscape of the outdoor market areas and the townscape beyond.
