Alton Road has been progressing well since the last update. The concrete frame has been completed on two of the blocks, with the roof of the third almost finished as well. It has been great watching the frame going up and seeing the views improve at every floor – the residents are going to have some wonderful sights and might not be able to leave their windows! It’s been a busy month in the ‘office’ preparing various pieces of information for the contractor and assisting with queries for procurement of window and door packages. The Metsec frame is currently being installed, with the brickwork following in the next couple of weeks. With lots of deadlines it has been great help getting some additional support from the Edinburgh office and others in London. We’re learning a lot about installing zinc cavity trays and ensuring all the changes in Regulation 7 have been accounted for.
