jmarchitects has developed into one of the UK’s foremost architectural practices since its formation in 1962. We provide design services in architecture, masterplanning, urban planning, interior design, 3D visualisation and sustainability to both private and public sector clients. We have studios in Edinburgh, Glasgow, London and Manchester.

jmarchitects is an award winning architectural practice with extensive experience in education, community, health, social housing, commercial, private residential, retail, and sports and leisure projects.

We regularly undertake complex projects of up to £100m in value. ‘Complexity’ can take the form of multiple client / stakeholder representatives, phased demolition and construction over an extended period of time, site sensitivity or listed status of existing fabric, or even simply the scale of a particularly large, involved project. We have experience in all of these areas; our team scopes the level of complexity from the outset and formulates an action plan to manage and control any challenges throughout.

jmarchitects believe that high quality sustainable design is an essential part of the evolution of good buildings. Environmental understanding should inform all our projects. We have therefore established a policy which commits the company to the adoption of a sustainable approach to design, working with our clients and other members of the design and construction team to produce architecture which minimises its impact on the environment now and into the future. Carbon Reduction

jmarchitects are a UK based architecture practice employing circa 100 staff across four offices based in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester and London.

As a company and as designers of buildings, jmarchitects understand the responsibility architects have for reducing the impact organisations have on the environment both in terms of the emissions we generate in our day-to-day operation and the emissions generated by the buildings we design during the construction phase and over the course of their operation.
