Bolton Council aimed to significantly enhance the quality of the spaces and facilities that on offer to the local community at Albert Halls, whilst also addressing key long standing maintenance and accessibility issues.
A full roof refurbishment was undertaken, with access and maintenance considered heavily. New walkways were installed to provide safe routes throughout. A new level access entrance and passenger lift have been provided, as well as bespoke room by room schemes to give an end product that is fitting of the buildings standing within the community.
Following many years of neglect and minor works the building had become dated and was in poor repair. The works undertaken have secured its future for many years to come. The completed design has been executed sympathetically celebrating the buildings heritage and historic value, yet creating a contemporary feel.
