Craighill Planning Approval

Craighill Planning Approval

We are delighted to announce that planning permission has been approved in principle for our Craighill residential development in Aberdeen following a unanimous decision by the planning committee.

The Craighill site is one of several sites across Aberdeen that form part of the wider @Aberdeen City Council Housing Programme aiming to address a long-term shortage of affordable social rented housing in the city and is the biggest housing programme in Aberdeen for over 50 years.

The development will deliver 99no. new homes of varying size and typology alongside associated shared surface streetscape and parking. In addition, both public and private amenity spaces will be provided as part of a wider landscaping strategy which will also result in the creation of new pockets of quality accessible external open spaces for residents and the wider public to enjoy.

A generous proportion of the units delivered will be wheelchair accessible, and all homes are being designed to ‘Housing for Varying Needs’ and the Gold Standard level of sustainability. The client and project team are committed to providing quality, energy efficient homes with the aspiration that these dwellings become the standard for social housing across Scotland – not just Aberdeen.
